Russian-born - he came to the United States at age 12 - classically trained pianist who was best known as a composer. He composed several hits in the 1940s and 1950s. Much of Myrow's work was scoring films, and he was nominated in 1948 and 1951 for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for works in films in 1947 and 1950, respectively.
