Singer and actress often referred to as the "Queen of Czechoslovak chanson". Outside her home country she has attained recognition especially in German-speaking countries. In 1954 she played the title role in the film "Frona" under the name Hana Čelková and 1957 had her first performance as a singer in the "Tatra revue", the legendary cabaret in Hotel Tatra in Bratislava. From 1961 until 1966 she performed at the Semafor Theater in Prague founded by Jiří Suchý in 1959.
She lived in Prague.
