- Ed Wells was a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. In 1955, while he was still in high school, he formed a vocal group consisting of himself, four other high school students and a 12-year old girl who sang lead. They were called "The Six Teens". Ed wrote many of the songs that they recorded.
