- This far out and weird sounding formation was started and centered by Ari Up after the disbanding of The Slits. The New Age Steppers were the first act to release on the ON-U Sound label. Besides Ari Up, the line up, at least temporarily, included the likes of Bim Sherman, Mark Stewart and Style Scott plus Neneh Cherry
