Well deserved!
Well deserved!
Another flaw from history (added in 2003) I guess, well before these kind of issues were discussed... corrected now, thanks!
But what I would like most of all is to have a rule that states that vocalists shall be credited in vocal tracks with an instrumentalist major performer. I've had several error reports rejected before.
If the vocalist(s) are clearly credited, yes.
I would indeed credit Sheldon and Sutton as vocalists in a vocal track. As to Marable I would mention his colaboration in comments.
My prefered method also, drawing the line at vocalists...
The problem lies with the last three tracks. One has the performer as Little Sam and Orchestra (a Byas alias) and nothing else. The other two only refer Sam Byas as performer. The names of the singers are shown in comments, but the information would be far better if Big Bill Broonzy in the first case and Helen Humes in the other two were included as second performers and immediately visible.
Happy to add Helen Humes to the credit... In 2018 when this was added, the discussion on secondary performers was far from ended.
In the case of Little Sam and Orchestra, we could add BBB between square brackets (is that done before?), because he's not mentioned as performer, or leave it the way it is now.

Does And Strings qualify for a second performer?
No, it only would be, if the string ensemble was specified like "The Brodsky Quartet" or "The Vitamin String Quartet".
