Error description

Now Is the Hour

Po Atarau has been added to SHS. I recommend adjusting the adaptation tree to show "Now Is the Hour" is an adaptation of "Po Atarau" rather than a direct adaptation of "Swiss Cradle Song."

Corrected. Have a look at it.

I should have been more precise.

"Now Is the Hour" is an adaptation of "Po Atarau" and that is now correctly entered in the database.

In addition, "Po Atarau" should be listed as an adaptation of "Swiss Cradle Sing." (It uses the same melody.)

However, now it looks like the work "Swiss Cradle Song" has been deleted even though the performance of it by the composer, Clement Scott, is still in the database.

The situation is complicated by an error that occurred when I created a new work, "Woodworth." "Swiss Cradle Song" is incorrectly listed as a version of "Woodworth" even though there should be no connection between the two.

I think we need 6 corrective steps:

1) Delete the Clement Scott performance of "Swiss Cradle Song".

2) Delete the work "Woodworth."

3) Recreate the work "The Swiss Cradle Song."

4) Recreate the Clement Scott performance of "Swiss Cradle Song".

5) Set "Po Atarau" as an adaptation of "The Swiss Cradle Song".

6) Recreate the work "Woodworth."

(There's probably a simpler way of obtaining the same results but I'm still working my way up the learning curve.)

I can do steps 2, 5, and 6. However, step 2 can't be done until step 1 is completed.

Done everything except for step 6, have a look at it.

Thanks so much for doing this. The revision looks fine with one possible exception. Is there evidence that Clement Scott wrote any lyrics for 'Now Is the Hour'?

I think he only composed the music.

The history of the song at

http://folksong.org.nz/poatarau/index.html

doesn't mention any lyrics by Scott.
