US music publisher Bright Tunes, who owned the rights of "He's So Fine", filed suit against George Harrison on 10 February 1971. The court eventually found that Harrison had "subconsciously" copied "He's So Fine", since George Harrison admitted to having been aware of the Chiffons' recording. As the court considered "My Sweet Lord" and "He's So Fine" to be the very same song with different lyrics, George Harrison was found guilty of copyright infringement.
