In 1927 songwriter Edgar Leslie traveled to London, England, were he began a successful collaboration with composer Horatio Nicholls (a pseudonym for music publisher Lawrence Wright). The pair would produce - among others - a song entitled “Among My Souvenirs”, which was published that same year by the composer's publising company named 'Lawrence Wright Music Co. London'. In the UK the song was originally titled just "Souvenirs", but as soon as the song became known in the USA, it was re-titled "Among My Souvenirs" there.
