Comments
In 1935 the German vocal group the Comedian Harmonists broke up due to the Nazi antisemitic policies, three of the group members – Frommermann, Collin and Cycowski – being either Jewish or of Jewish descent. These members fled to Austria and formed the nucleus of the Comedy Harmonists. The remaining, non-Jewish members in Germany replaced their counterparts in a successor group named "Das Meistersextett" (as the authorities forbade an English-language name).
