Poet, journalist, librettist and lyricist, who also worked using the pseudonyms "Landely" and "A. Héler". He was a "Professeur de chant" at the "Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris" in Paris. As a journalist Hettich wrote for "L’Art musical", one of the longest running French periodicals of the 19th century. Furthermore he was involved as publisher of the works of Francis Poulenc, Jeanne Leleu, Charles Gounod, Christoph Willibald Gluck and Olivier Messiaen
