- Bandleader and jazz musician widely known under the alias Fred Bird. Starting in 1924 Lehmann was the musical director and recording director of Homophon/Homocord, a record company in Berlin's Alexandrinenstraße. He also played on numerous recordings under various aliases, thus succeeding in faking a non-existent broad spectre of artists at Homophon/Homocord. Later he did the same for the record label Gloria until this ended in 1933.
