- Pianist, arranger and bandleader. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, but had his career in light music. He accompanied artists like Mieke Telkamp, Lia Dorana, Conny Stuart en the trio The Swinging Nightingales , but also Edith Piaf. Late in the 1930s he founded The Romancers for AVRO radio, one of the Dutch public broadcasting associations. In 1939 Conny Stuart joined The Romancers as singer of French chansons.
