Singer and painter from Montreal in Quebec. In 1954 Charles Trenet discovered Guylaine in Montreal and began writing songs for her. She made her French debut at the Olympia with Charles Trenet and Louis Armstrong and settled permanently in Paris in 1956. She recorded several Trenet songs and performed at the Bobino Theater.
