Shirley Harmer

Singer and actress from Oshawa, Canada. In her teens she sang with bands and was frequently heard on CBC radio. In 1951 she came to the United States where she appeared on the Dave Garroway national TV show and recorded for the MGM label. After returning to Canada she hosted CBC-TV's Sunday night Canadian General Electric Showtime (1954-1957). In 1957 she return to the U.S. where she appeared on the popular George Gobel TV show. She has also appeared on film and major concert venues.
