Singer-songwriter from Madrid, considered a pioneer of what is now known as Nuevo flamenco ("New flamenco"). "Ray" Heredia was born in a prestigious family of gypsy bailaores (flamenco dancers), his father was the famous bailaor El Josele. For his remarkable ability to play practically any instrument, he earned the nickname "El Prince Español" ("The Spanish Prince").
