Vaudeville performer credited with being the author of the 1896 hit song "Sweet Rosie O'Grady" which she made famous singing at Tony Pastor's theatre in New York. She has long been discredited by critics in her claim that she was the true author of the work as her husband William Jerome is most often considered the true author. Jerome would only admit to having 'looked over' the work after it was conceived by his wife.
