He made an anagram of his initials (RJM - treating I and J as the same letter) for his pseudonym adding "Carlo", a popular Italian name in France at the time. He is the author of two songs "La complainte des infidèles" (1951) and "Ballade des truands" (1952), both put to music by Georges Van Parys.
