- Gospel vocal group founded in the Bessemer mining region of Alabama. They were originally known as the BYPU Specials due to their original in the Baptist Young Peoples Union. Members include William Turner [lead], Peter Lowery [tenor], Walter Litimore [baritone, lead] and William Morgan [bass]. By the early 1940s they were based in Cleveland, Ohio.
