- Singer, musician and songwriter from Springfield. Massachusetts. He was a member of the original Campbell Minstrels. He also founded the Boston Harmoneons, a minstrel group who performed for President Polk at the White House in Washington, D.C. In the 1850s he was proprietor of the Revere House in Brattleboro, Vermont, During his later years he primarily engaged in concert performances.
