Comments: Country music songwriter born in England. She was a trick rider in a wild west show and performed in Australia , India, Africa and other locations before working as a writer for the "Country and Western Express" magazine in London. In 1961, Don Pierce of Starday Records visited London, was impressed by her work and offered her a job in Nashville. Using the professional name, Dixie Deen, she worked for ABC Paramount before taking a position with the "Music City News" writing a column "Down South with Dixie." She also became a successful songwriter. In 1964 she married Tom. T. Hall with whom she co-wrote songs.
