Country music band active in Virginia and North Carolina featuring Unce Joe Johnson. Johnson hosted a live bluegrass program on WPAQ (Mt. Airy, North Carolina) from 1948 to 1963. In 1946 other members of the band included Happy Bobbit, Little Johnnie and Burk Barbour. By 1947 the band consisted of Johnson (emcee, bass, guitar), Barbour (fiddle) along with Jim Eanes (guitar, vocal), Paul Jefferson (banjo) and Wally Tuttle (electric Hawaiian guitar). By the early 1950s "Pretty Blued Eyed Odessa" Johnson did the vocals.
