- German-born bandleader and composer, who was the bandleader of the McIntyre and Heath Minstrels. The band accompanied the the famous blackface tramp comedy duo act "McIntyre and Heath" consisting of James McIntyre (1857-1937) and Thomas Kurton Heath (1853–1938), who started their act in 1874.
