Vocalist, actress and writer, noted for her in her early years clear, later distinctive raspy voice. After for a couple of years having suffered from personal problems including heroin addiction, Faithfull in 1979 with her Grammy nominated album "Broken English" succeeded starting a second career and increasingly became a culturally conscious artist. She also appeared in numerous stage plays and movies, including the awarded "Irina Palm".
