String band consisting of Riley Shepard, Daddy John Love , Ollie Bunn and Clarence Todd. They performed 1920s style old-time music on their WIS radio show in Columbia, South Carolina and recorded ten mainly gospel type songs for Bluebird on June 20, 1936.
Note; Daddy John Love was part of J.E. Mainer's band and the Dixie Reelers' sides appeared on split single releases with Mainer and are on his compilations but Mainer wasn't involved in the Dixie Reelers' recordings.
