Basic band moniker used by John Lennon and/or Yoko Ono to indicate their recording and/or performing with additional artists. Mainly used in the 1970s for joint recordings and releases in their respective own rights, but also for live appearances and one-off projects. Yoko Ono revived the name for her recordings in the 2000s.
There are/were no constant members and none of the aliases indicates both main artists were actively involved in the respective other one's recordings/releases. The list of occasional participants includes a wide range of artists varying from Eric Clapton et al. via Free Jazz musicians to street music performers. - Ranking
