Comments: Arthur Davis Porter was the son of a freed slave who came to Cincinnati from Tennessee. Arthur was a pianist and musician who also appeared in several Broadway shows as a song and dance performer, including the role of Uncle Amos in the musical "Runnin' Wild". Is known to have composed this rag and two songs, but no other published works are found.
