- R&B vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The original members were Yvonne Mills [lead vocal], Roosevelt Simmons [tenor], Tommy Wicks [baritone] and Alphonso Howell [bass] . This is the group that first recorded for Atco in 1955. Later Yvonne married Frank Baker and became known as Yvonne Baker. By 1958 the group broke up. However, a few years later Yvonne Baker and Alfonso Howell decided to reform the Sensations. In 1961 the other members were George Minor and Richard Curtain and this group recorded for Argo.
