Comments: Soul music vocal duo from Florida: James Lee Purify (1944 – 2021) plus Bobby. The original "Bobby Purify" (from 1965) was James' cousin, Robert Lee Dickey (1939 – 2011). Dickey retired from the group (and music) in 1971. James worked solo until 1974, when the second "Bobby Purify" joined him: Ben Moore (born 1941) also recorded as a solo under his stage name (Bobby Purify), and later joined the Blind Boys of Alabama.
