Josma Selim

Singer and actress, born in Vienna, Austria and died in Berlin, Germany.
She became famous as a chansonnière and achived her greatest popularity with her teamwork with the composer Ralph Benatzky. They got married in 1914. Benatzky wrote numerous songs for her which she presented on stage. She often was companied by him on the piano. They appeared among others at the cabaret "Simplicissimus" and went on tour through many European countries.
