- Howard Biggs was a jazz pianist, arranger and songwriter. He worked for Luis Russell in the 1940s and, later in the 1940s, he began working with the pioneer R&B vocal group, the Ravens. Throughout the 1950s he worked with many r&b vocal groups and jazz vocalists.
