Bluegrass fiddler and songwriter. White’s professional career began in the early 1950s, playing fiddle with Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys band. He later worked with Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper; and for several years with Conway Twitty. He founded and managed Twitty’s music publishing companies. As a songwriter, White achieved success. He recorded over 200 songs, including the Grammy award winner "After the Fire Is Gone," recorded by Twitty with Loretta Lynn.
