- Western singing trio formed in 1934 that worked mostly in radio. In 1938 as a publicity stunt to show that they were real cowboys, the group rode on horseback from California to New York City -- a journey which took close to four months. The group disbanded in 1941. The Ranch Boys were Ken "Shorty" Carson, Jack Ross and Joe "Curley" Bradley.
