An accomplished classical composer as well as rock musician, Lord created a signature keyboard sound with a combination of Hammond B3 and C3 organs and Leslie speakers. His playing was prominent in bands such as the Artwoods, the Flowerpot Men, Paice Ashton & Lord and Whitesnake but he will likely be best remembered for his playing and composition in Deep Purple and his solo classical projects.
