Comments
Jazz, blues, and pop vocalist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved to Los Angeles in 1944 where he attended Jefferson High School. In 1945 he won an amateur contest which brought him to the attention of Joe Greene who recorded him for his G&G label. Over the next decade he recorded for a variety of labels including Columbia, Aladdin Imperial and GNP Crescendo. In 1958 he joined the Harry James Orchestra.
