Singer of popular songs from Chicago, who commenced recording in 1920. She had earlier been part of the vaudville duo, Stanley and Aileen, with her brother Stanley. After her brother left the act Aileen started performing solo creating her alias by reversing the name of the old family billing. She performed in vaudeville and cabarets and in 1920 she was a hit in New York City in the revue show "Silks and Satins" and made the first of her numerous recordings the same year. She moved to the UK in 1931 recording in London between 1934 and 1937.
