- Folk and country singer, composer of country songs and radio entertainer. He gave Grandpa Jones his moniker when Jones was only 23 years old. Kincaid and Jones were both performing with a band on WBZ-AM in Boston, and Kincaid teased that Jones was always grumpy when he came in for early morning broadcasts, calling him "grandpa". In 2002, he was inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame.
