Comments: The Cherokees were a band formed in 1961 in Melbourne, Victoria. Early members were Billy Dale on guitar, Alan Chung on rhythm guitar, Mick Lynch on drums, and David Thompson on bass, Barrie Windley on drums (replacing Lynch) and Barrie King on rhythm guitar and vocals.
