East London-born composer and songwriter, who began his career under the guidance of composer Noel Gay. With songs like ''The Shoemaker's Serenade,'' ''I Keep Forgetting to Remember'' and ''Till Stars Forget to Shine,'' he became one of England's most successful songwriters during World War II. After coming to the United States in 1947, Lubin wrote songs recorded by Pat Boone, Bob Hope, Petula Clark, Denny Vaughn, among others, as well as numerous songs for popular Doris Day movies and TV shows.
