Comments
A skiffle group formed by John when he was a pupil at Quarry Bank Grammar School in Liverpool in either 1956 or 1957, according to different sources. Through many line-up changes, The Quarrymen came to include Paul (October 1957) and George (February 1958), evolved into a rock 'n' roll band and by August 1960 became The Beatles.
