Comments: One of the most famous Soviet rock groups of the 1980s. Formed in 1981 in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) as Гарин и гиперболоиды ("Garin and the Hyperboloids", after L.N. Tolstoy's sci-fi novel from 1927), one year later they changed the name to Кино ("Cinema").
