Bluegrass band based in Burbank, California. In 1954 the three White brothers, Roland (mandolin), Clarence (acoustic guitar), and Eric Jr. (banjo and double bass) formed a band called Three Little Country Boys. In 1957 they added Billy Ray Latham (banjo) and LeRoy Mack (dobro) and billed themselves as The Country Boys. In 1961, Roger Bush replaced Eric. In 1962 they recorded their debut album and rechristened themselves as The Kentucky Colonels. They disbanded in 1965.

In early 1973, the three White Brothers re-formed the group billing themselves as The White Brothers or The New Kentucky Colonels. Clarence was killed shortly thereafter in July 1973, and the band permanently disbanded.
