Comments: Actress and singer born in Blackpool, Lancashire. As a singer she first found success in the 1950s and 1960s in a duo with her husband, singer/songwriter Ken Morris. The couple performed together on records and in live performances. However, their performing days were cut short when Morris died in 1968 from a brain tumor and Savage became a widowed mother. She continued to perform as a solo act finding success in stage productions and variety acts. Savage has since retired from performing and in 2008 was awarded the Freedom of the City of London
