Actor & singer. Clary started his professional career in music at the age of 12, singing on French radio. At age 16, because he was Jewish, Clary was sent to a concentration camp. He was liberated when Buchenwald was taken by American forces in April, 1945, and Clary resumed his career as a singer. In late-1949, Clary came to the United States on the strength of his recordings, but ended up appearing on television and in Broadway musicals. Clary has recorded several albums of show tunes. His best known film role is Corporal LeBeau on the American sitcom "Hogan's Heroes", which ran for six seasons.
