- Singer from Dornoch specialising in songs of the Hebrides, who won a Gold Medal at the Mòd of 1912 and recorded for Pathé Actuelle and Parlophone. He contracted polio, took up cycling as a method of regaining his health and became a tailor, taught music and played the flute, ultimately becoming a farmer in Essex.
