- Founded in 1938 by Rev. John MacPherson. After his death, Meta MacPherson, his wife, became leader until the choir was disbanded in 1968. During its lifetime, the choir appeared regularly on the radio and at concerts, including foreign tours. The choir also recorded several discs for Parlophone.
