Pioneering blind country music singer, guitarist and harmonica player from Knoxville, Tennessee. He recorded from April 1924 to June 1927.
NOTE: Gene Austin actually "ghost sang" the vocals on all of Reneau's vocal performances. At the time, Austin was an unknown singer. He later started getting dual billing with Reneau on their recordings and then went on to much greater fame as a solo artist.
