- Unitarian minister, transcendentalist, and music critic. Dwight was involved with the Brook Farm commune, serving as the director of its school. When Brook Farm collapsed, Dwight established a cooperative house in Boston. Dwight wrote or translated several hymns, some of which continue to appear in hymnals.
