Alt-folk band started by Dave Lamb in 2003. Brown Bird underwent several personnel changes before settling as a duo of Dave Lamb and MorganEve Swain. Musically, the duo used violin, cello, upright bass, viola and electric bass and pulled inspiration from the music they loved—Middle-Eastern psych-rock from the ‘60s and ‘70s, intricate post-metal, the music of the Balkan gypsies.
Dave Lamb died of leukemia in 2014.
