- Co-founder and lead singer of The Diamonds under the name David Somerville. From 1961 to 1967, under the name David Troy, he worked as a solo act, marketing himself as a folksinger. Returning to "Somerville", Troy joined The Four Preps in 1967. In 1969, The Four Preps disbanded, and Somerville and Bruce Belland worked for some five years as a comedy/music act known as Belland & Somerville. In 1988, Somerville returned to the revived Four Preps as lead singer and worked with the group another 18 years.
