Theatre musical director and composer of film scores. He is associated in the 1920s with shows such as "The Yellow Mask" and later became Ivor Novello's preferred director, orchestrating many scores for his shows as well as directing many recordings of them. A few recordings in Metropole (also issued on Piccadilly) from the late 1920s were issued under his name, but nothing is known about the musicians on the sessions.
